Three Hats Puzzle

#212

In a game show, The Three Stooges; Moe, Larry and Curly entered the room, each with a hat on their head. There were two colors of hats: Black and Red, which were assigned to them randomly. Each person could see the hats of the two other people, but they couldn't see their own hats. Each person could either try to guess the color of their own hat or pass. All three do it simultaneously, so there was no way to base their guesses on the guesses of others. If nobody guesses incorrectly and at least one person guesses correctly, they all share a big prize. Otherwise they all lose.

Before the contest, The Three Stooges had a meeting during which they decided their strategy. What might be the best strategy?

Seven Animals Puzzle

#208

You have been given a task in which you have to get the names of seven animals that have been split.

There are 3 letters in the left column, and 3 letters in the right column, what you have to do is merge both 3 letters sets together, without changing the order of the letters in each half. You should take care that the matching sets may not necessarily be in the same row.

For example, FET + RRE and RRE + FET both equal FERRET; as the order of the letters FET and RRE remain the same.
For another example, BEAVER can be splitted as EVR and BAE.
IAR       ALU
WBA     BBI
COT      AGU
WRS     DNY
RAT      LZD
JAR      OMT
OKE     OYE

  Difficulty Level - 4/5

  Update Your Answers Click Here

Solution : Rabbit, Walrus, Jaguar, Lizard, Donkey, Wombat, Coyote

RAT + BBI = RABBIT
WRS + ALU = WALRUS
JAR + AGU = JAGUAR
IAR + LZD = LIZARD
OKE + DNY = DONKEY
WBA + OMT = WOMBAT
COT + OYE = COYOTE
